Boating with George

My weekend was once again busy but the heater painting is now finished. Phew! :) It was raining here so we stayed home doing stuff about the place. One of them was reorganizing stuff on our computer and we came across some pictures from our boating trips with George.

I would like to do something different with this post. I would like to dedicate this post to our friend George. He is going in for a heart surgery and I just want to spend a few minutes to reflect on the wonderful trips we've taken with him.

For a few years now every summer the 3 of us would venture out to sea exploring the little islands nearby. Before heading out we would stock the boat up with food. This meant a stop at the seafood store, and sometimes this would mean live crab.
George has taken us to some of the most beautiful spots accessible only by boat. I have here some highlights to share.
If the a spot looks interesting we'd head onto shore to explore further.
Beyond the rocks and grass a pretty discovery is made.
Amongst the nook and crannies, a crab skeleton bleached by the sun.
I was engrossed by the monotone texture of the lichen.
A last look around before heading back to the dinghy.
On the way back to the boat, a careful watch on the kelp so it doesn't venture near the propeller.
