Off to a bright morning, another new day ahead, lots to do as usual let's take it one step at a time.
Below another artwork using Winsor Newton's Oilbars, see previous painting here, the topic at hand flowers of some kind. I had in mind budding branches pictured here but it didn't work out that way... oh well, I still like the colors. Two oil mediums were used, Gamblin's Cold Wax Medium filled the background, linseed oil gave some shine to the vibrant colors in the foreground. I was surprised with the soft consistency of the wax medium, mixing it with the oilbars was effortless, the matte result retained some texture. A palette knife and brushes of various sizes applied paint onto the cradled panel, it was not long before the painting was complete, size is 8" x 10".
