A Dinner to Celebrate

Last week a dinner to celebrate the
completion of a project. Lamb
shanks, carrots, yellow peppers,
and shallots intermingled with salt
black pepper, oregano, lime and
extra virgin olive oil as they all
baked in a covered casserole for
two and a half hours. The smell
drove me nuts, it was a good thing
David came home otherwise there
will be some explaining for the
mysterious disappearance of some food.

The final touch, tzatziki yogurt with
garlic and dill, along with salad
ingredients fresh tomatoes, persian
cucumbers and fresh dill, of course we
had to finish it off with sangak bread.
It has been a while since such
a grand meal was made and yes
we savored every bite of it.

Today the start of a new day.
