At the Bird Park Again

At the bird park again some weekends
ago, although the destination is the
same the discoveries are always
different, the landscape changing
each time depending on time of
day or season of the year. It is the
growing phase now, hence the lush
green but this did not stop the bright
skies from beaming through the
thick branches and highlighting the
undergrowth, a magical ground
effect. A single red berry, not yet
ripe with plenty of time to be sweet
and juicy. White puffs on the fronds
of fern, the usual suspect for seasonal
allergies. Amongst the horsetail a
tiny snail the camera just about
missed it, I like its tiger stripes.
"Follow the shadow," the leaves above
whispered, with hasty feet I tagged along.
