Flowering Stages and Clouds

A small selection of pictures taken throughout
the week capturing the various flowering stages
of different kinds of blooms. I felt fortunate to
be able to capture them, for the rain has been
quite relentless all week with only brief moments
of dry. First in this post, a photo of magnolias,
taken on my walk during the golden hour.
love the warm lighting on those pink petals,
it brought out the coral hues.

Only one photo of clouds curved by the wind.

A scattering of fallen petals from a camellia
bush, it reminded me of a Japanese painting.
Would you believe just a few days ago it was
blooming profusely with petals intact?

The last photo, taken today this very
afternoon on a tortilla buying mission. I've
never noticed the white blooms before, it must
have been a newly planted tree, quite a big tree
as a matter of fact as I could stand under it...

... And this makes it a final post for this week!
Have a great weekend, see you next week!

  1. ooh, thank you. I can almost smell these absolutely lovely flowers.

    1. Now that you mentioned it... the magnolias did have a light scent, very subtle, a certain sweetness in the air that one would only notice if the wind blew the right way...
